CURE Launches Clubfoot Program in India
CURE Clubfoot Worldwide has been blessed to be able to offer clubfoot care to the children of Honduras, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia and Cambodia.
We are now overjoyed to be able to expand our reach and offer this care to the children of India.
CURE Clubfoot Worldwide is an initiative to eradicate clubfoot globally as a life-long disability. The strategy is to create a countrywide program that will train nationals to perform a simple, corrective casting procedure known as the Ponseti Method, and to combat prejudice against clubfoot by counseling families and raising awareness in their communities.
Due to India's large population, CURE Clubfoot Worldwide will establish three statewide programs rather than one countrywide program. The first statewide program in Bangalore is off to a great start. One hundred patients have already been seen in the past three months! Two other programs are planned for Mumbai and Delhi.
